Green Bin Garden Waste Collections Suspended

Message from Milton Keynes Council.

“Food and garden waste collections missed yesterday will not be collected until the reinstatement of the service. The frontline operational workforce were directly impacted as a result of COVID, absence, shielding and self-isolation. This did cause delays to the service.

 Where possible, residents who have green bins out for collection should be advised to take them back in. Waste already within the green bins can stay in situ until collections start again. Future food waste can be placed direct into black sacks for collection.

MK’s HWRCs ‘tips’ remain open, although we do ask residents to consider whether any journey is essential, in light of the national lockdown.  Black bag waste and clear recycling sacks will continue to be collected on the regular collection days.

I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The areas that were affected yesterday are;

Oldbrook, Fishermead, Bradwell, Bradville, Heelands, Springfield, Woolstones, Bradwell  Common, Campbell Park, CMK, Downs Barn, Chicheley, North Crawley, Cold Brayfield, Newton Blossomville, Clifton Reynes, Moulsoe, Astwood, Middleton, Broughton, Brooklands, Conniburrow.
