Alan lived in Chicheley his whole life, initially in Bedlam Walk, later moving to Hall Lane.  Much of his working life had been spent on or associated with local farms.  For many years he cared for the church grounds, in addition to being a keen gardener at his own home.

St Lawrence Church was filled with his friends and family to remember and celebrate his life.
