Remembrance Sunday

Service at the "Wayside Cross" War Memorial.

Sunday 13th November saw around 50 people of all ages congregate at the Wayside Cross for the 11:00hrs Act of Remembrance and the laying of the poppy wreath.

The service was conducted by Professor John Fielding and the wreath laid by Mr E F Duncombe (former Wellington bomber pilot). The National Anthem was sung.

The service continued in church with the Reverend Pam Fielding.

The collection, as is Chicheley’s custom, was donated to the British Legion Poppy Appeal.
