The Chester Arms Pub closed temporarily from 5th January 2015 for major refurbishment.

Greene King brewery decided to end its tenancy during 2014. Landlord Steve Mascall continued to run the pub as a free house until the end of 2014. Customers have appreciated Steve's excellent food, and the hospitality and efficient service provided by Ben and all the staff.

The pub was in need of major refurbishment that could not be postponed any longer.  Work started in early January, for the pub to reopen in the spring.
